Mc 14395 Rc, Mt Ungaran 2050 mdpl
I never imagined that in my wildest dream to be actually part of the mountain climber organisation. Well when I watched "Gie" movie I had a thought that would be interesting to join Mapala (Mahasiswa Pencinta Alam) and after joining Emergency Fair and Festival I also want to be one of the medical rescue team (Tim Bantuan Medis/TBM) as well because that just always been my passion since the beginning. I like to be involved in some kind of activities that concern to improve skills and that's why I still stuck for another year in Diklat (Pendidikan dan Pelatihan) though.
Well that kind of simple thought which I didn't actually intend to be implement it just happened anyway. After Kembak I decided to join Maladica Undip which basically is the nature lover organisation but have division in TBM as well. And voila I did everything it takes to get that official number and being part of the member.
Climbing to the mountain is definitely not a joke in which you gotta take it seriously with enough preparation. I couldn't believed that I have very limited preparation for the inauguration on the top of Mount Ungaran. I thought that it will be tiring of course but the field was just the same when we did the Basic training. Turns out that with having only 15 minutes treadmill exercise before set off and little bit worries from my group leader concerning my physical state. Well yeah I have asthma, rhinitis allergy and anemia as well that explain how I am extremely tired to get recovery after we did the inauguration on the top for a week, with the additional busy schedule of college had already begun and end up my lazziness during holiday. Well, I couldn't believe that I actually can reach to the top with 18 hours of climbing with only 1-2 hours rest. But I do much more than climbing if people said so, I crawled to the top bursting out all of the energy and get excited during the night to keep climbing and crawling, and leaving few energy left to slide down the mountain.
A view from the top
Well honestly, it really paid off once I get on the top and enjoy the beautiful sunrise and the city down there. Moreover, I feel blessed with a new family I got in Maladica. I couldn't thank much more to them how they have been willingly helped me out in every kind of situation not just during our journey in nature but as well as on campus when we have event together and cherish each other whenever we feel down and we gotta hang out frequently. It feels like I found a second home whenever I felt homesick. It's KORSA: One for all and all for one.
Being a part of nature lover has taught me lots of things about how well we should manage ourself to reach to the top, the way we have to choose, the time spending management, the food that we have to share, the water that we have to spare, the endurance that we have to bear, friends that we have to hold, the trash that we have to keep, the load that we have to carry, the endurance that we have to bare the lights that should guide us, and how we should protect the nature and friendly to other climbers.
Thank you to get me a chance to learn about all of that. Viva Rhyticeros Cassidix and Maladica, may we keep being loud and friendly as our name of that bird :)
