The Wanderlust and Ambivert

Hello, I'm back in 2015! :) I once captivated by the word "Wanderlust" in one of the article that my friend shared on her Facebook timeline. Yo can read out the article here . Wanderlust means [--   a love of travel or regular old curiosity]   [The gene itself, which is identified as DRD4-7R, has been dubbed the “wanderlust gene,” because of its correlation with increased levels of curiosity and restlessness, for the most part. In reality, however, those who carry this genetic information typically share one common theme, a history of traveling.] It even said that it runs through your gene! So the need to explore and go on adventure I guess quit a bit running inside my gene. I do like travelling around and exploring new things as well as knowing and understanding different culture. So I'm glad that I got to become an exchange student once again and go on a Euro Trip as well. I would really want to tell my journey in detail but I guess I was just too lazy to...

I'm back on this (new) Year :)

Ergggh I don't even know where to start because I have a lot to say since lots of things are going on these past month. It's really a good start this year for me since I've done many good and interesting activities although I'm aware that it's not a good start to open this year with natural disaster for Indonesia. We have to pray more then.. So yeah although I'm kinda sad because my mom keep saying that I don't really miss her that much so then I only coming home for a week and then go back to Semarang. But I try to explain to her that I think I can be more productive and maximized my time wisely here to do activities that have more benefit compare to if I only stay home. I feel that now, if I'm coming home I feel that everybody already have their own life, like my brother go to school, my dad go to work and my mom with her friends and what I can only do just follow her around to go out because that it's not that easy to arrange meeting to hang out...

Turning 20's and my Dad's Golden Age (of 50)

well where should I start..  I actually always love July since it's my moth of birthday, because there's always wonderful thing to have a birthday once a year as if you feel to be kinda new person and knowing that there are people that haven't contact you for a while still remember your birthday and I think it is sweet of them to congratulate you, wish you a wonderful years ahead showing that they still care about you. Well I've read some proverbs somewhere and I forgot where did I read that but anyway it says; "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care for them" Isn't it sweet and very true? Cause we as a human are social being so how could we live alone although we know everything to live but we don't have anyone to share and depend on, so misery.  So yeah on July 7th I turned 20 already. Feel so old isn't it, in fact that I don't feel that way though. But yeah the responsibility keep getting b...

Hello 2012

Welcoming new year it feels just weird. I feel that time flies so fast and I couldn't even keep up with it. In the beginning of new year last year I was in USA and then now I'm back in Indonesia. It was as if all of that were just a dream. It's like now whenever I woke up I'm still in my bedroom wondering if I was ever woke up in the other side of the world. Anyway I rarely celebrate those kind of new year's eve celebrations. My family never really into watching fireworks and blowing trumpet. Most of the time I was just trying hard to sleep by ignoring the crazy loud sound of new year's euphoric celebration from our neighborhood. Well, we had once playing fireworks in our neighbor's house. As for my other friends, specially my besties, they usually also celebrate on their own with their families. So this new year I feel so excited to celebrate it. Well my afs/yes friends were planning to do a sleepover and since they want to nostalgic in my grandma...

Come Back Home (read: back to the reality and looking forward for the future)

Well first of all I want to say "Happy Eid Al Fitr 1432 H" may our sin would be forgiven and we could come back as a whole new better person as if we born again as a newborn baby. It's been 2 months since I've came back to my home country, Indonesia. The "Honeymoon Phase" the stage where we were told we'll be facing during End of Stay Orientation has come to an end for me. When I came back the first time, it just felt weird. I was such in an euphoric state being back yet I didn't really know how to fit in again. I am talking in term of school and facility context. I indeed understand things will be different and I felt like I was just dreaming going to some faraway places then I come back seeing people whom I know are moving forward. Yet I haven't seen any big changes in my country unfortunately. It was still in "that" state when I left a year ago. Sadly enough to compare and contrast thing that is convenient which makes people lif...

Idul Adha in America!

I'm really glad that I make this decision. I was actually planning to still go to school and miss idul adha. But then, mr. Lynch cancel the calculus test so then I decided to take day off from school due to the religious holiday. I suppose to be have 3 test actually and when I come back it's the short day and end of grading period, so that's why I'm a bit stressfull. So yeah, I went with Sarah, my moslem friend at school, she is indian whose her parents came from Guyana. Well she's proud being Indian though not guyanese. Anyway, after shalat in the recreation center, the mosque just rent the place to held the id prayer, we went to the slaughter house because Sarah's mom do sacrifice sheep. It's really fun and new experience how the moslem can live in America. We went back from slaughter house after Sarah's mom visited some of her relatives to give meat to them. Then I had dinner in her house, they made curry and rice from the sheep meat. When I go home, ...

IED MUBARAKQ at MASJID AL-SUNNAH

Sammah, me and Sarah She wants to cover her pimples! :P Cadar=khamar (well, I don't know how to spell it actually, Sammah said that 'cadar',she call it as'khamar') Sarah :D Brothers Sisters Cute little girl and boy, went to Ied prayer like they want to have ballroom party :P So today, I am not going to school, instead, I celebrate Idul Fitri :D I went to Sammah's house and then together we went to mosque to do Id prayer. We have pray at the gym actually so I don't know actually is it the mosque or not. Then we're having breakfast with arabian food at the park.I met some of my friends at school, I don't know actually that there are many moslems at my school (not many actuallly but for at least 10 should be enough to be categorized as many in boggy, St. Pete right) Then I went to Sammah's house, went out for shopping together and having pizza for lunch then her brother gave me a ride to home :D

HAPPY IDUL FITRI!

Labor day bahkan mengalahkan hari raya umat muslim di sini! Instead of dengerin takbir berkumandang sepanjang malam (jadi kangen denger takbiran malam2 sebelum tidur setiap idul fitri di kamar :D), pas buka puasa malah tv nyetel lagu2 rohani kristiani terus berita nyiarin tentang pastur yang mau bakar al-Qur'an karena rencana pembangunan masjid di lokasi 911, bahkan seorang kartunis yang menjelek2an nabi muhammad dapat penghargaan freedom of speech! Can you imagine how rude is that! Sangat miris, miris, hati dan iman rasanya seperti disayat-sayat. Ya Allah, ...
