Well I should have posted this like 6 months ago, but literally don't have enough time and willingness to write so yeah end up today after I got back from another conferences that I attend which I will write this later in another post.
Back then, long ago when I was an exchange student in USA, the peacezarrasauds (me, my host sister and her friend) plan something about our marriage and honeymoon kinda thing. And what I always have in mind is having Euro trip for my honeymoon. Guess what, God grant my wish faster than I thought, I finally got chance to do the trip.
Well yeah, it's because I extended my trip before and after EAMSEP in Croatia. I'll just expressing my feeling towards each city and country that I visited because I nearly forgot all of the places that I've been.
ITALY
Venice and Rome
We manage to visit a lot of places even though in a short period of time. Every sight seeing in Venice and Rome are distant walk so we can easily reach every places by walking (although you kinda like really exhausted to walk and hardly feel your legs by keep walking and walking though -_-).
They said that we have to be careful of the pick pockets around us in the Metro or in touristy places where it can get so crowded but thankfully nothing happened and we're safe during our stay :) People and the weather are nice there not to cold and you can feel the warmness of the Sun I think because it is around the area of Mediterranean and southern part of Europe. The ancient architecture felt so magical specially during the night, it feels like a bunch of building scattered around everywhere to please our eyes :) The gelato was also so nice with lots of different flavour, I tried the panacotta one. From Rome to Venice we tried the night train and it was funny because the compartment was so small and hardly fit our huge luggage and note to ourself, don't ever bring that kind of luggage if you want to travel around europe next time :). Well I know, better to go during spring or summer so that you can bring light cloth, not heavy winter jacket with wool and all of that stuff.
CROATIA
AUSTRIA
Vienna and Salzburg
I am so into classical music Austria is the birth of many composers such as Mozart, Haydn and Franz List. I was so happy I got a chance to watch the orchestra, ballet and opera singer there, and also the music museum (Haus der Musik). The city of Vienna was also really nice, I could say it's the most beautiful city in Europe where I've been to. The street was huge and everything placed properly while the architecture of the building was majestic. Although during the trip we haven't manage our time efficiently so we kinda waste our time climb the stairs up in Stephandsom chruch and therefore we haven't got enough time to enter the massive Schonbrun Palace because the admission was already closed :( It was literally a huge castle and would take one full day to explore around. The only bad experience I've got during my visit was when we firstly arrived in Vienna there was a lady who being so racist toward the Muslim and she pick on me because I was wearing hijab, so then the next day I decided to only wear the winter hat so not to be the center of attention but turns out I've seen some people wear hijab too, so I guess it's just that only lady who being so insecured and racist.
In Salzburg, I felt young again and cherish the childhood memories by taking the Sound of Music Tour. The tour guide was so lovely and warm, he reminds me of Mr. Hugh McMullen (my Local Coordinator of my USA Exhcange Program). We kept sing along in the bus while looking out the beautiful scenery of Alps along the way.
