If I can describe a word for Russia it could be a Fairytale. It has too many beautiful things that you can only see in let say disney princess movies (?) happen in real life. From The castle, the museum, the campus building until the metro station underground. My favourite one would be the chandelier and the amber stone for jewerly and decoration inside the palace and museums. I am so in love with their architectural design. Indeed it showed their pride as one of the superpower country back then. Yet you can still see the remaining of it traces in every corner of their street and building. Russia's metro subway in Moscow and St. Petersburg are famous for its beauty because it has different theme in every metro along with the architectural design. Who said infrastructure isn't important? Well I guess it is fundamental in any country who want to be developed. As it is built to accomodate people transfer and hence support the economy later on.
My trip to Russia was a blessing in disguise.
I would never know that Russia may be cold but still there are many people who has warm heart inside.
It has lots of palace that so rich in which every room has magnificent chandelier that I adore so much. The architecture was just so beautiful even under the Metro, subway station that standing in escalator to reach its underground could take about 10 minutes and you would found me sitting twice when its go up because I was so tired to stand after such an exhausted day. You can see the remaining of that used to be called superpower country back in their period.
If you might say now they are not in a good political situation as back then that make their currency drop as well not in the level of Euro let say but their infrastructure has developed so well and so you can say the city are well established enough. If you afraid of terrorism or war still progressing or drunk people in the street nope you are wrong the government made a really strict protocol to handle that and you barely see it now. If you happen to know the country it self better you see it in person with your eyes and merge with the people there being the local citizen for couple week yet you can still be a tourist too. You would never know what awaits you until you experience it by yourself.
Anyway about the stereotype I think I find it somewhat true. They say sun enlighten your mood and energize you so it explains why Russian are so cold and gloomy because they have gone through 6 period of winter and only 70 days of sunny days. Can you imagine that? No wonder they say Indonesians are friendly and warm. Because we have sunlight every day around the year. However as you get to know them the ice of their barrier melt as they have warm heart as well. Like my doctor said Russia may be cold but he has a warm heart that explains why he likes to smile a lot. He was just such a nice professor.
