Yeayyy I finally made it to Disney World in Lake Land Buena Vista, Orlando, Florida Well although I only went to one park which was Magic Kingdom but it was so much fun! So Disney World in Florida was very big (compare to Disneyland Hong Kong which I have been there in 2008 that only include magic kingdom),besides Magic Kingdom Park, there were epcot (international attraction), disney hollywood studios and animal kingdom,I think there are also waterpark or someting I'm not sure. It was very big untill we have to ride a monorail to go to the park from the entrance! I was going there with my favorite Local Coordinator, Mr.Hugh McMullen (that teach me: I can dig it, You can dig it, He can dig it, She can dig it, We can dig it, You can dig it, They can dig it too!! Can you dig it ??   also Italian mixed: sendanich casendiche, por favor, pepperoni, persute, vanequa) and his wife Ms. Karen McMullen and also their exchange student from Germany, Svenja. International Education Week

So, International Education Week is actually held by US department of state that required exchange students such as me that they have sponsored us, to make presentations, events and anything that can introduce our country, mine is Indonesia, to people in America to build understanding and so on. It was really a big opportunity for me to introduce my country, I dress up with my traditional clothes during my presentation. I'm really glad as well, because I get a good response from them, they were enthusias and curious about my country, although they sometimes such as silly question such as do you have mc Donald in Indonesia or what kind of shoes do you wear? However it's good because they are interesting and want to know more about my country. So then my job would be explain to them what were they perception about Indonesia sometimes wrong. Such as they thought that Indonesia was all forest, come on, we are civillized! :P One thing also that I regret not to answer what I suppos

Idul Adha in America!

I'm really glad that I make this decision. I was actually planning to still go to school and miss idul adha. But then, mr. Lynch cancel the calculus test so then I decided to take day off from school due to the religious holiday. I suppose to be have 3 test actually and when I come back it's the short day and end of grading period, so that's why I'm a bit stressfull. So yeah, I went with Sarah, my moslem friend at school, she is indian whose her parents came from Guyana. Well she's proud being Indian though not guyanese. Anyway, after shalat in the recreation center, the mosque just rent the place to held the id prayer, we went to the slaughter house because Sarah's mom do sacrifice sheep. It's really fun and new experience how the moslem can live in America. We went back from slaughter house after Sarah's mom visited some of her relatives to give meat to them. Then I had dinner in her house, they made curry and rice from the sheep meat. When I go home,

October: Homecoming Week, Football Game, Talent Show, Busch Garden

well, it's actually really late to post this, but I haven't got enough time to write something in the past couple weeks. So yeah, pretty much stuff going on october. Escpecially I really enjoy my homecoming week at school. I join the parade with the drama club and dress up as spanish lady 'Carlotta' from phantm of the opera, because we have to be like some characters. I did talent show, can you imagine dancing alone in the auditorium that looks like Usmar Ismail hall! I did Ragam Dasar Betawi Dance which I practice it just 5 times meeting with private dance instructor. I also dress up during senior citizen day. Hmm then in the end of homecoming week I watch football game at school. It was really awesome, even though I didn't really understand the game. Then I went to my local coordinator house in Tampa which we'll have sleepover there with my other exchange students from germany. Then we went out to Busch Garden and Howl o Scream to celebrate Halloween. In the

A Journey to become an Exchange Student

I actually want to post this several weeks ago when my english teacher gave this back to me. This is actually a papperwork given for my English class. We have to make an autobiography essay with more showing on it. We learned how to make the story 'showing' actually rather than just 'telling'. We don't have to tell about our whole life experience, instead, just a piece of our story which is memmorable to us. I think it's really great opportunity to tell my story then. And guess what, I got an 'A' for this task, I'm really glad :D  My english teacher even gave some notes: " I had no idea what you (and Putri-last year exchange students from Indonesia too) went through to get here, thanks for writting this" Here is my story begin (Be ready because it will be a long passage to read since it is REALLY a long journey to pass through ;P):     One day, I saw a poster on the information board, along the wall of the stairs of my high school build
